Almost 50 lose jobs at bad credit bank

Administrators of failed bank London Scottish have cut 46 jobs at the bank’s head office.
The bank, which specialised in bad credit products for customers, went into administration two weeks ago. It currently employs around 500 people in Greater Manchester.
The staff cutbacks will particularly affect the central recovery and bad credit mortgage departments of the bank.

Bad credit bank’s debt collector for sale

Ernst & Young, the administrators for failed bank London Scottish, are preparing to sell its debt collection arm.

Wave of CCJs strike the North

Over the past three months, 120 people a day have appeared in court in Greater Manchester with County Court Judgements for failing to repay debts.

This represents a 34% rise in CCJs, demonstrating the amount of people with poor credit in the area, the Manchester Evening News reports.
